Subject: Advertisement for the posts of Naib Tehsildar in Revenue Department
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has received an indent for filling up 75 vacancies in the Revenue Department, J&K, under direct recruitment. This indent was issued vide reference numbers REV-NG/41/2021-(25751) dated 19.12.2024 and 17.04.2025.
Accordingly, the JKSSB invites online application forms from eligible candidates for participating in the selection process for these posts.
The important dates and details are as follows:
- The commencement date for submission of online applications is 16th June 2025.
- The cut-off or last date for submission of online applications is 15th July 2025.
- Details of the post, pay scale, category-wise breakup, qualification, and selection criteria are provided in Annexure-A.
- The list of required documents is in Annexure-B.
- The certificate regarding physical fitness is in Annexure-C.
- The syllabus for the post of Naib Tehsildar is in Annexure-D.
The total number of posts advertised is 75.
Appointment of the Candidates
The appointment and other service conditions for the candidates selected through this process will be governed by the existing rules and regulations of the Government of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Domicile Requirement
Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate, issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format, must be submitted on or before the last date of submission of the online application forms, which is 15th July 2025.
Vacancies
Details of the advertised posts are given in Annexure-A. However, the number of posts may increase or decrease during or before the completion of the selection process. JKSSB is not legally liable for any variation in the total number of posts advertised for which the final selection list will be issued. The advertisement notification is subject to the outcome of any writ petition or legal matter pending before a competent court of law.
Age Limit
As on 1st January 2025, the maximum age limit for applying to these posts is generally 43 years for most categories. The specific age criteria are as follows:
Candidates under the Open Merit (OM) category must not be born before 1st January 1982 and not after 1st January 2007. The same age range applies to candidates from SC, ST (both ST-1 and ST-2), RBA, ALC/IB, EWS (Economically Weaker Sections), and Other Backward Classes (OBC).
For Physically Challenged Persons, the maximum age limit is 42 years, meaning they must not be born before 1st January 1983 and not after 1st January 2007.
For candidates already in Government Service or working under contractual employment, the maximum age limit is 40 years, with the eligible birth date range being from 1st January 1985 to 1st January 2007.
