The District Social Welfare Office, Shopian, under the Mission Shakti Scheme of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for the temporary engagement of human resources at the One Stop Centre (OSC) for Women in Shopian. These positions are purely on a temporary basis up to March 2026, with a possibility of continuation based on performance and government funding.

Available Posts

1. Case Worker (Female Only)

  • No. of Posts: 2
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law / Social Work / Sociology / Social Science / Psychology
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years working on violence against women issues in an administrative setup of Government or Non-Government Projects/Programs.
    • Must be a resident of the local community.
  • Age: 18–40 years as of 01-01-2025
  • Consolidated Monthly Honorarium: ₹14,000

2. Para-Legal Personnel / Lawyer (Male/Female)

  • No. of Posts: 1
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB Professional)
  • Experience:
    • Para-Legal training or law knowledge with 3 years’ experience working with Govt. / Non-Govt. projects at district level OR
    • Practicing lawyer with at least 2 years of litigation experience.
  • Age: 18–40 years as of 01-01-2025
  • Consolidated Monthly Honorarium: ₹13,000

3. Office Assistant with Computer Knowledge (Male/Female)

  • No. of Posts: 1
  • Qualification: Graduate with Diploma in Computers / Information Technology
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in data management, documentation, video conferencing, and web-based reporting in government or reputed organizations.
  • Age: 18–40 years as of 01-01-2025
  • Consolidated Monthly Honorarium: ₹11,000

Selection Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: 80 points (pro-rata basis)
  • Viva Voce: 20 points
  • Shortlisting: Based on merit. Original documents will be verified.
  • No TA/DA shall be paid.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Applicant must be a domicile of J&K and a resident of District Shopian.
  2. Applications must be submitted separately for each post.
  3. Contract valid up to 31st March 2026; extendable based on performance.
  4. No right to permanent absorption in Govt. departments.
  5. Application must include self-attested copies of:
    • Academic and technical qualification certificates
    • Date of birth proof
    • Domicile certificate
    • Character certificate
    • Experience certificate (if any)
    • Passport-size photographs (2)
  6. Medical fitness from the Chief Medical Officer, Shopian is mandatory.
  7. Incomplete applications or those with misprinted/misleading content will be rejected.
  8. Applications must be submitted in person or through registered post at:
