Government Extends Recruitment for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers in Wagoora
Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir– The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Poshan Wagoora, has announced an extension for the recruitment of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in the Anganwadi Centres under the POSHAN Project Wagoora. The new deadline for submitting applications is **22nd May 2025**.
Vacancy Details
A total of 12 positions are available, including:
- 06 posts for Anganwadi Workers (AWW)
- 06 posts for Anganwadi Helpers (AWH)
The vacancies are distributed across various Panchayat Halqas/Municipal Wards in the Wagoora Poshan Project, Baramulla district.
Key Eligibility Criteria for Sanginis (AWW)
1. Domicile: Candidates must be domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir.
2. Age Limit: Women aged between 18-37 years (as of 1st January 2025) are eligible.
3. Residency: Applicants must reside in the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located. Proof of residence includes:
- Voter list entry.
- For unmarried candidates listed with parents, a certificate from the Tehsildar is required.
4. Educational Qualification: Minimum 10+2 pass, with a maximum qualification of graduation. Higher qualifications (post-graduation) will not be considered.
5. Selection Process:
- Merit-based on 10+2 marks.
- In case of a tie, older candidates will be preferred.
- Family members of retiring AWWs receive an additional 2% weightage
