JK Police Constable Recruitment 2024: 4000+ Vacancies Expected : Check Eligibility Criteria
As per break up of these 4022 posts,
- 1689 vacancies of Constables (J&K Armed/IRP),
- 100 of Constable SDRF,
- 502 of Constable (Telecom),
- 20 of Constable (Driver)
- 22 posts of Constable (Photography) under the UT cadre while there are
- 1689 vacancies of Constable Executive Police in the divisional cadre including
- 1249 posts for Jammu and
- 440 posts for Kashmir
Notification for recruitment of Constable and Sub Inspector may be released officially by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department most probably in March 2024 (Expected). JK Police Constable Age Criteria
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 28 years.
Age relaxation will be given to certain candidates as per the decision of the board.
In the case of serving SPOs with a continuous period of engagement of a minimum of three years and Voluntary Home Guards (VHGs) with a period of engagement of a minimum of five years, the upper age limit shall be 37 years.
For Ex-Servicemen it shall be 48 years.

JK Police Constable Educational Qualification Criteria

JK Police Constable Selection Process 2024
The JK Police Constable selection process will consist of three stages. Candidates who clear all the stages and make it to the final merit list will be selected for the post. The stages of expected selection will be as follows.
Stage-I – Written Examination
Stage-II – Physical Standards Test
Stage-III – Document Verification.
JK Police PET (Physical Endurance Test) Qualification:
Long Race for Male = 1600 meters in 6 ½ minutes
Long Race for Females = 1000 meters in 6 ½ minutes
Pushups (only for male candidates) = 20 (on the cycle of up and download to be counted as one)
Shot Put (4 Kgs) = 14 ½ feet in 3 attempts
