 Helpers/AAYAs to be Engaged under ECCE for 2025–26

The Office of the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Anantnag, has released an official advertisement inviting applications from eligible female candidates for the engagement/hiring of Helpers/AAYAs under ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) for the financial year 2025–26.

As per the notification (Ref: CEO/AnS/Ms/AAYAs/25/28492-674/25 dated 09.07.2025), the engagement will be done at the village or ward level in specific government schools across Anantnag. Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form, and candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as detailed below.

Key Details of ZEO Anantnag Helpers/AAYAs Recruitment 2025

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
  • Minimum Qualification: 8th pass (provisional until verified by the hiring authority).
  • Residence: Candidate must be from the same village/ward where the school is located.
  • Age: Candidate must be between 18–45 years as of January 1st of the selection year.

Engagement Nature:

  • The engagement is purely temporary, terminating at the end of the academic session.
  • Selection will be performance-based; non-performing candidates may be disengaged.

Selection Preference: In case of tie in eligibility, preference will be given to:

  • Elder candidate
  • Candidates from the following categories (with valid proof):
    • Widow
    • Orphan
    • Destitute
    • Poorest in village/ward

Honorarium:

  • ₹5,000/- per month (subject to revision as per PAB of Samagra Shiksha).

Physical Fitness:

  • A medical fitness certificate from a registered medical officer is mandatory.

Duties of Helper/AAYA:

  1. Escorting children during arrival, departure, and mid-day meals.
  2. Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness.
  3. Assisting teachers in class activities.
  4. Supporting with PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) duties.
  5. Performing any other assignment from school or ZEO for child care.

Appeals:

Any aggrieved candidate can appeal to the Zonal Level Committee within 15 days of the selection list publication.

  • Proof of qualification
  • Age proof
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
